CSIR UGC NET JRF Exam 2013
CSIR will hold Joint CSIR-UGC Test for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Leatureship (NET) in June 2013 in the following disciplines
- Chemical Sciences
- Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
- Life Sciences
- Mathematical Sciences
- Physical Sciences
- Engineering Sciences
The date for the Joint CSIR-UGC Exam for JRF and NET (Lectureship) Exam has been scheduled for 23 June 2013.
Candidates can apply- OFFLINE (through Application Form and Information Bulletin) or
- ONLINE (www.csirhrdg.res.in)
between 05 February 2013 and 01 March 2013.

Exam pattern for Joint CSIR UGC NET JRF Exam 2013
The question paper in the Joint CSIR UGC Test for JRF and NET (Lectureship) with consist of three parts - A, B & C.
- Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects including Engineering Sciences. This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.
- In Engineering Sciences, Part ‘B’ shall contain questions pertaining to Mathematics & Engineering Aptitude
- Part ‘C’ shall contain subject related multiple choice questions (MCQs).
And for other disciplines,
- Part 'B' shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs).
- Part 'C' shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature.
Note: There is negative marking for wrong answers.

| Chemical Science | Total 20 questions on General Science, Quantitative
Reasoning & Analysis and Research Aptitude. The candidates shall be required to answer any 15 questions. Each question shall be of two marks. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30 out of 200. |
Total 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) generally covering the topics given in the syllabus. A candidate shall be required to answer any 35 questions. Each question shall be of two marks. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 70 out of 200. | Total 75 questions. A candidate shall be required to answer any 25 questions. Each question shall be of four marks. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 100 out of 200. |
