Staff Selection Commission SSC has recently announced recruitment to the posts of Constable (GD) in different CAPF - ITBPF, BSF, CISF, CRPF and SSB and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles - in the year 2013.
Candidates applying for the post must know that the job profile of a Constable in the Central Armed Police Forces demands rigorous fitness in terms of mental and physical. Above it all, they must have the right aptitude for the demands of the job. Then only one should apply for the SSC Constable GD.

Last Date of Application
The last date of receipt of application is 11 January 2013. For candidates residing in far-flung areas, the closing date is 18 January 2013.Candidate has to submit single application.
Exam Date
The SSC CPO (GD) Constable written examination date is 12 May 2013.
Note: Only a single application will be entertained. Also please note that the date of written examination for SSC CPO Constable/Rifleman 2013 is subject to change, in which event the new date will be notified through newspapers, Commission’s websites and Admission Certificates for the examination.

Selection Criteria
#1. SSC will be making recruitment to the posts of Constables (GD) in ITBPF, BSF, CISF, CRPF, and SSB and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and the recruitment process will consist of- Physical Standards Test (PST) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET) : February-March 2013
- Written examination: 12th May 2013
- Medical examination: June-August 2013
- Declaration of result : 30th September 2013
Only candidates qualifying in PST (Physical Standards Test) and PET (Physical Efficiency Test) will be called for the Written examination on 12 May 2013. Based on the performance in the Written examination, candidates will be short-listed for Medical Examination.
#2. Educational Qualification: The candidate must be Matriculate or Class 10th pass from recognised board / university.
#2.Age Limits:18-23 years as on 01/01/2013. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02/01/1990 and not later than 01/01/1995.
Note: There is relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen.
#3.PST/PET will be held from February to March 2013.
